The Land of Endless Screens and Popcorn

Avey snuggled under her cozy blanket, hugging her favorite pillow. She let out a big yawn as the soft glow of her nightlight filled the room. “Goodnight, world,” she whispered, drifting off to sleep.

But this wasn’t just any sleep—Avey’s dreams were always magical.

The Land of Endless Screen Time and Popcorn

In her dream, Avey opened her eyes to find herself in a magical land. The sky was made of streaming screens, each playing her favorite shows and games. Mountains of buttery popcorn stretched as far as she could see, and fluffy soda clouds floated above her head.

“Whoa!” Avey said, grabbing a handful of popcorn. “This is amazing!”

As she explored, she noticed a comfy beanbag chair waiting for her under a tree made of candy canes. A giant tablet screen popped out of the ground with her favorite app already open. Avey grinned and plopped into the chair.

“This is the best dream ever,” she said, crunching on popcorn. “No bedtime, no alarms, just me, my screens, and all the popcorn I can eat.”

A Screen Time Surprise

Just as Avey was getting comfortable, the screens around her started to shimmer. Out of one screen stepped a funny little creature with a clock for a face and arms made of pencils.

“Hello, Avey!” it said in a cheerful voice. “I’m Tock, the Dream Clock. I’m here to remind you that even in dreamland, time doesn’t stop!”

“What do you mean?” Avey asked, stuffing another handful of popcorn into her mouth.

Tock pointed at a glowing alarm clock floating in the sky. “See that? That’s your wake-up time. When it reaches zero, you’ll have to leave this dream and wake up for school.”

Avey frowned. “But I don’t want to leave! I just got here!”

The Countdown Begins

Determined to make the most of her dream, Avey hopped from screen to screen, playing her favorite games, watching her favorite shows, and eating as much popcorn as she could. The more she played, the faster the glowing clock seemed to tick.

“Why does time fly when I’m having fun?” Avey sighed.

Tock chuckled. “That’s how it works! But remember, mornings can be magical too—if you let them.”

The Alarm

Suddenly, the glowing clock began to chime. Avey tried to grab one more handful of popcorn, but the screens started to fade. “Nooo!” she groaned. “Just five more minutes!”

But before she could argue with the clock, she woke up to the sound of her real alarm. The morning light peeked through her window, and she rolled over with a big sigh.

“Aw man,” Avey mumbled, rubbing her eyes. “I was just getting to the good part.”

A Magical Morning

As she got ready for school, Avey couldn’t help but smile at the memory of her dream. “Popcorn mountains and endless screen time,” she muttered. “That was pretty awesome.”

She grabbed her favorite stuffed animal and her backpack, heading to the kitchen where her dad was making breakfast.

“You look tired, Avey,” he said with a laugh. “Did you sleep well?”

“Yeah,” Avey replied with a grin. “But now I’ve got a mission—make this day as fun as that dream.”

Her dad smiled. “That’s the spirit! And don’t worry—there’s popcorn waiting for you when you get home.”

With that, Avey headed off to school, ready to conquer the day—and maybe even dream up something even better that night.

The End.
