One sunny afternoon, Kiki and Avery were playing outside, drawing chalk rainbows on the sidewalk, when a soft whoosh echoed above them.
They looked up—and there it was.
A floating castle made entirely of clouds, drifting gently in the sky. It sparkled with light and shimmered like a dream.
Suddenly, a tiny silver ladder dropped down in front of them.
Kiki gasped. “Avery, it’s inviting us!”
Avery smiled and held Kiki’s hand. “Let’s go.”
They climbed the ladder all the way up into the clouds until their heads popped into the Cloud Castle. Inside, everything was fluffy and glowing. Cloud animals floated by—fluffy foxes, misty moose, and bubbly birds.
At the center of the main room stood a kind-looking Cloud Keeper, with swirly hair and glowing eyes.
“Welcome, Kiki and Avery,” she said. “You’ve been chosen to solve the Three Sky Puzzles. If you complete them, you’ll unlock the Golden Glow Gem—a treasure that brings light and warmth to cloudy days.”
Kiki and Avery looked at each other and nodded. “We’re ready!”
? Puzzle One: The Cloud Maze
They entered a misty hallway of shifting clouds.
Kiki noticed that the clouds swirled every time she stepped. Avery found a trail of sparkly mist leading forward.
“If we follow the shimmer,” Avery whispered, “we might find the way!”
Together, they tiptoed carefully, holding hands until—poof!—they reached the glowing exit.
? Puzzle Two: The Wind Song
They were taken to a music room with hanging instruments made of breeze and wind.
“You must play the sky’s song,” the Cloud Keeper said.
Kiki listened and heard the faint sound of a lullaby in the wind. Avery gently tapped on a breeze drum, and Kiki waved her arms through wind-chimes.
The music swirled and danced—and the puzzle was complete.
? Puzzle Three: The Rainbow Riddle
A rainbow path appeared with a riddle:
“To reach the light, you must be bright—what shines in you, even at night?”
Kiki thought hard. “Is it… love?”
Avery nodded. “And kindness. And bravery too.”
As they said the words aloud, the rainbow lit up, and the Golden Glow Gem floated down to them.
“You did it,” the Cloud Keeper said with a smile. “You brought light not just to the sky, but to each other.”
As the sun began to set, Kiki and Avery were gently floated back down to their backyard.
They looked up—the Cloud Castle was gone—but the sky was filled with the warm golden light of the Glow Gem.
Kiki hugged Avery. “That was the best adventure ever.”
Avery smiled. “And we did it together.”
