MJ and the Jungle of Lost Toys
One sunny afternoon, MJ was playing with his favorite toy dinosaurs in the backyard. His T. rex, Velociraptor, and Triceratops were lined up, ready for an epic battle. But when MJ reached for his favorite green Stegosaurus, it was missing.
“Where’s Steggy?” MJ asked, looking under the slide and behind the bushes. “He’s gone!”
This looked like another job for the Dino Detective Agency.
The First Clue
MJ put on his detective hat and grabbed his magnifying glass. He searched the backyard carefully and found something strange: a trail of small footprints leading toward the garden.
“Hmm, these footprints aren’t mine,” MJ said, crouching down to examine them. “Maybe a raccoon took Steggy. Or a dinosaur!”
Following the footprints, MJ reached the edge of the backyard, where a tangle of vines covered the fence. He pushed them aside and gasped. Behind the vines was a hidden path leading into a jungle filled with trees, flowers, and colorful birds.
“This must be the Jungle of Lost Toys!” MJ exclaimed. “Steggy must be here!”
The Jungle Adventure
As MJ stepped into the jungle, he heard rustling in the bushes. “Who’s there?” he asked, holding his magnifying glass like a shield.
Out jumped a mischievous monkey holding a shiny red toy car. “Hey! That’s my car from last week!” MJ said.
The monkey chattered and swung through the trees, dropping the car as it disappeared. MJ picked it up. “I found one lost toy, but where’s Steggy?”
The Puzzling River
Further into the jungle, MJ came to a sparkling blue river. On the other side, he saw Steggy perched on a rock. “There you are, Steggy!” MJ called.
But there was no bridge or boat to cross the river. MJ thought hard. “What would a dino detective do?”
Just then, a friendly parrot flew down. “Follow the stones!” it squawked.
MJ looked into the water and saw stepping stones that formed a path. Carefully, he hopped from stone to stone until he reached the other side.
“Thanks, parrot!” MJ said, waving as the bird flew away.
The Jungle King
As MJ picked up Steggy, the ground began to rumble. From behind a tree emerged the Jungle King—a giant golden lion with a crown made of flowers.
“Who dares take from my jungle?” the lion roared.
MJ gulped. “I didn’t take anything! These are my toys. They got lost, and I’m bringing them home.”
The Jungle King tilted his head. “Hmm. If you can solve my riddle, you may leave with your toys.”
MJ nodded bravely. “What’s the riddle?”
The lion grinned. “What has a tail but isn’t alive?”
MJ thought hard. Then he smiled. “A kite!”
The Jungle King roared with laughter. “Correct! You may go.”
Home Again
As MJ walked back through the jungle, he found more of his lost toys—his favorite truck, a soccer ball, and even a missing puzzle piece. By the time he returned to the backyard, his arms were full.
“Case closed!” MJ declared, placing Steggy back with his other dinosaurs.
Dad stepped outside. “Wow, MJ! You found all those?”
MJ grinned. “Yup! The Dino Detective Agency solves every case.”
As the sun set, MJ played with his dinosaurs, imagining his next adventure. Maybe one day, he’d visit the Jungle of Lost Toys again—but this time, he’d bring all his dinos along.
The End.
