It was a calm evening at home when MJ noticed something strange. The glowing amulet he had kept since saving the Ladybug Alliance began to flicker. Sitting on his nightstand, it pulsed with light, almost as if it were calling out to him.

The next room was filled with a glowing river. Floating platforms bobbed up and down, but they looked unstable.
“How do we get across?” MJ asked.
Dad smiled. “We’ll need to use teamwork. You jump to the next platform, and I’ll stabilize it.”
MJ nodded. With each leap, Dad used his strength to steady the platforms, while MJ used the amulet to guide their way. By the time they reached the other side, the amulet was glowing brighter than ever.
The Final Challenge: The Shadow King
At the top of the tower, they faced the Shadow King—a tall, shadowy figure with glowing red eyes and the stolen Core of Light floating above his hands.
“You’ll never take the Core!” the Shadow King growled, his voice echoing through the chamber.
MJ and his dad stood side by side. “We’re not afraid of you!” MJ shouted.
The Shadow King summoned shadowy creatures to attack, but MJ used the amulet to create a beam of light that drove them back. Meanwhile, Dad charged forward, using his strength to distract the Shadow King.
“MJ, now’s your chance!” Dad shouted.
MJ held up the amulet, which glowed brighter and brighter until it released a powerful beam of light. The Shadow King roared as the light shattered his hold on the Core, sending it back into the hands of the ladybugs.
Victory
The Core of Light began to shine, filling the tower with warmth and color. The Shadow King retreated into the darkness, and the ladybugs cheered.
“You’ve done it again, MJ!” the lead ladybug said. “And your dad—what a hero!”
MJ smiled up at his dad. “We make a great team.”
Dad ruffled MJ’s hair. “I couldn’t have done it without you, buddy.”
Home Again
Back on Earth, the ladybugs gave MJ and his dad a glowing medal shaped like a star. “A symbol of your bravery,” they said before disappearing into the night.
